The imperative need for the use and conservation of culture in Mexico and the world, as a means of liberation and struggle against globalization imposed by the capitalist system, which violates every day against the roots of the peoples of the whole planet, the "Tenochca" project arises. Nahuatl word that means "the place of nopales", which is the characteristic cactus of the central region of Mexico.
Formed by two professional musicians and a graphic communicator, Tenochca makes alternative music with lyrics in Nahuatl, the language still spoken so far 7 million people in Mexico. The significance of the Nahuatl language (dialect misnamed, because it has a better or comparable to that of languages ​​such as English or French grammar) is essential and important in these times. Promoting its practice among the population, it gives the possibility of a direct encounter with the original culture and encourage other nuclei of the globe to return to their languages ​​and therefore its free and alternative forms of organization. Tenochca music, which includes the fusion of different rhythms, carries in its structure and form anahuacas essences that have adapted to the acoustic and electronic instrumentation of our times. Tenocha an interesting proposal, also of his work with the visual element, to give a wider Mexica Anahuac idea and your audience.
The lyrics of their songs exposed subjects that show the struggle, rebellion and discontent against imperialist forms of domination as well as letters dedicated to human passions and emotions that with the increasing loss of values ​​have been disappearing among new generations.
Thus Tenochca is a musical project that reflects artisitc, freedom and hope resistance of the original peoples called Indians of Anahuac, now called America from the Eurocentric view of imperialist expansion. For more than 500 years as a result of the largest and most barbaric of history genocide, makes imposed by force foreign customs and language, a cultural flowering that in no way resembled the European development of military and religious submission. In any event this side of world cooperation between peoples fostered and gradually becoming empires were rather large human nuclei in harmony with its surroundings, which were struggling for spiritual and intellectual growth.
Taking up this spirit more than an ideology, Tenocha portrayed in music and songs a small contribution did what pordríamos call: "The search for the liberation of all peoples of the world against the exploiters and oppressors media". Through music and art, Tenochca firmly believes that it is also possible the construction of a new environment, where ecologically, socially, economically, intellectually and espiritualemnte, beings that cohabit the Earth and Mother Nature, can survive fairly , balanced and love, as was the cosmological vision of our @ s @ s Grandma Mexica.
